About
Hi, I'm Madhura.
Overview
I make complex systems feel simple. Over 7 years I've moved across visual design, service design, and product design. I keep getting drawn to problems where the technology is new, the stakeholders are many, and the users deserve better than what they've got.
The best design I've done happened when I stopped decorating interfaces and started understanding the system underneath: the people in it, the constraints shaping it, and the moments where a bit of clarity changes everything.
The Journey
2016 - 2019 · Finding my craft
I started in visual and interaction design, working across consumer and enterprise products. This is where I built my foundation: understanding hierarchy, learning to listen to users, and figuring out that the simplest solution is usually the right one. I worked fast, learned faster, and realised I wanted messier problems.
2019 - 2023 · Amazon, India
I joined Amazon in India as a UX designer on the employee experience team. Internal social platforms, brand innovation showcases, health and wellness tools. This is where I learned what scale actually means: what works for 50 users breaks at 500,000. I got obsessed with systems thinking and service design, seeing how one screen fits into an ecosystem of touchpoints, teams, and processes.
2024 - Present · AI and enterprise, Dublin
I moved to Dublin and stepped into a senior role on Amazon's benefits platform. Two projects defined this chapter: a GenAI-powered assistant that helps administrators resolve complex queries (which taught me how to design trust in AI), and a dependent eligibility verification redesign that saved $27-51M per year (which taught me how to flip a problem on its head when the obvious solution fails).
This is my niche now: AI, enterprise complexity, and human-centred design. Making intelligent systems people actually trust and use, not just ones that technically work.
Now
Looking for my next challenge. I want products where AI meets real people, where the problems are genuinely hard, and where design has a seat at the table from day one. Innovation labs, AI-native products, teams that move fast on hard problems.

Outside work
When I'm not designing, I'm mum to a beautiful baby boy. You'll find me on nature trails around Dublin, playing badminton, swimming, practising Indian classical dance, or on Sunday cooking experiments with my husband. I once had a proper fan girl moment meeting David Carson, the designer I studied obsessively in college. Curious people make better designers, so I try to stay curious about everything, not just screens.
